You’ve Found Us

Tucked away on the back streets of Waxhaw we gather here to be a gracious, reformed, and local presence of people who want to enjoy God and make his love known in our community. We’re a mixture of young and old, skeptics and believers, blue collar, white collar, and no collar. Everything we say, sing, preach, and pray is drawn from the Bible so that we can better see and savor the Son sent by the Father. Our preaching is expository and our songs are a blend of old and new. Our dress ranges from business casual to flip flops so come as you are.

You’ll notice that our building is quite a bit older than we are. It was built in the 70’s to house a thriving ministry and became a bedrock to the community. We are grateful to use it as a place of ministry once more. We invite you to come and see for yourself what God is doing in our midst. Join us Sunday mornings at 10 am.

Our Ministries

Sunday morning Worship

We’re a member of the Presbyterian Church in America- but don’t let it put you off if you don’t fully know what that means or if you come from a different denominational background. Christ in us is what makes us a church, not a denominational label. If you want to learn more about our beliefs you can click here.

Community Groups

You’re not a rock or an island; you were made to live knowing others and being known. Every week or so we meet in people’s homes to study the Bible, ask honest questions, and pray for one another. This is where you truly start to put down roots and grow. Contact us for information on specific groups here.

Student and Children’s Groups

While parents are the primary way kids learn how a relationship with God works, sometimes it’s helpful for them to process life and God with their peers. Our middle and high school students meet weekly, and our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders meet once a month. Contact us for information on the next meetings here.

Local outreach initiatives

Our heart is to be good neighbors. Sometimes this looks like block parties to help facilitate community in our neighborhoods. Other times it’s partnering with local agencies like Common Heart to help feed, clothe, and care for the disadvantaged and oppressed among us. For more information on what we do and how you can be involved contact us here.

Our Pastor

Rev. Daniel Vinson

In one sense, I don’t deserve to be here. The things I've done, the relationships I've wrecked- these aren't the kind of qualifications you would expect to see on a pastor's résumé. But on the other hand, as someone wise once said, “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.” I can attest to this truth that God is faithful and his mercies are new every morning. From that vantage I find that my struggles help me preach and serve from a position of humility and give me a respect for others no matter where they are. God has given me so much to be thankful for: he allowed me to be trained for ministry at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte; he surprised me with a wonderful wife, Brooke, and two feisty boys, Isaiah and Adam; and he has given me a loving church family. By surrounding me with loving people God has made this ministry a success, and yes, even fun! To God be the all the glory.
